The idea
When fat tissue is strained, it releases IL-6, an inflammatory signal that travels the bloodstream. Not the sharp inflammation of a cut finger, but a chronic, low-grade fire that quietly wears on vessels, insulin receptors, and immune cells. Here is the key reframe our own evidence forced: the fire is a consequence of where fat sits, not a separate South Asian trait. Account for visceral fat and the population difference largely disappears. The fire is real; it is lit earlier because the overflow starts earlier.
