The idea

Muscle is the body's largest metabolic organ, the place glucose goes to be burned. South Asian muscle tends to carry more hidden fat at the same body weight, and controlled training studies show blunted gains from the same program that works for others. The honest reading is not that training fails, it is that the dose was calibrated on someone else. A phenotype that responds less to a given stimulus needs more stimulus, more protein, and an earlier start, precisely the opposite of the gentle walking advice it usually gets.
